No, I fully understand what light on and off means. Light off = TCS activated; light on = TSC deactivated. I've known that since the first day I had the car. When my TCS is turned off or deactivated, my engine sounds different under acceleration and lacks power. In the TSC defalt on (or activated) mode, the engine sounds great and has terrific acceleration. Something's messed up. I've done no modifications to this car; it's just the way it came from the dealer when new.

Maybe there is a higher power that is giving you a sign not to burn out!!!

V6 here... no problems smoking the tires at all... even from a slight roll. Smooth dust covered pavement here at the shop out front = a whole lotta fun.
I would have that checked out. I have driven my friend's 2006 GT (manual). It has NO PROBLEMS smoking the tires lol. Get it on wet pavement (out front it's cement parking instead of pavement) it just spins the tires and goes no where... or you can just make a few doughnuts with the damn thing it's crazy. Shouldn't have that problem with the GT if I don't even have it with my V6. I would definately take it to the dealer.

Before I bought my 07, I test drove a 2005 V6 auto and a 2005 V6 manual. The manual seemed to have a lot more 'guts' than the auto, and I couldn't understand why. I tried to light up the tires on the auto, but it wouldn't even come close (didn't power break it, didn't think I needed to). I realize you've got a GT, which should be a piece of cake.
Reading other posts about a trick with the accelerator pedal, why not give that a try? If I understand you correctly, this is something you used to be able to do when the car was new, but can't do it now. Sounds the computer is adapting, from my perspective.
This new 'drive by wire' thing is different, and I would be surprised if that worked.

I think you are right on the money. My bet is he doesn't have the power to break through the brakes and needs to let off the brake a little.
Remember, your front brakes are stronger than your rears and the rear will let go first. Just hold the brake down enough to plant the car, no more. Feather it also if need be but you want just enough to break the rear loose. A little practice and the right pressure is easy to find.
