Dynos can show you'll loose HP after adding the 20's BUT they WILL NOT show the traction increase!

To the best of my knowledge, a track is the best pace to show traction increase be it road corse or drag strip. At a drag strip it will be seen in both the 60" and 1/8 mile times.

I don't care if I lose a few ponies. My 20's look great. Any power lost, my turbo will give back to me...and then some.

I wonder if 19's would be a favorable compromise between appearance and minimal loss of HP vs 20's?

Wow, this thread is complex [&:]

I can go with side wall depth helping with launch....
I can go with more/less weight having an impact.
But
People talking about increased rolling diameters with20" wheels/tires?Isn't that what the aspect ratio of the tire takes care of?
The rolling diameter of my 265x35x20 tires is the same as the stock 235 17" Pirellis I had on it before, well, almost [8D]

i noticed with my 20's right away that it takes a lot longer to brake...so im sure its the same for acceleration but i notice the braking bc pads cost money....and the ride sucks.....now i dread any potholes or uneven pavement....but i get looks all the time ....

If you like that look (I don't) and are more interested in aesthetics - go with 20's.

If you areafter performance - don't

With 20's you accelerate slower andit takes longer to slow down. Drink the kool aid.
