The dragstrip guys aren't going to appreciate you dripping water down the track. How about some dry ice?

Just throw some ice packs in the CAI shield.
Yeah that's what I say. Make some kind of device where it would cool but not get the intake wet. This would lease work for the drag strip.

Instead of ice, you could use some of the cold packs that you use in a cooler. You know the ones you put in the freezer and then in the cooler. There is no melting.

That's what I meant too.

Dry ice evaporates.. and is carbon dioxide. Probably don't want that getting sucked into the engine.

Also.. what about heat sinks on the CAI "hose".. my C&L is aluminum.. and that's good for transferring heat.. but you would think they would grove the outside, or bottom (so it's out of sight) to increase heat dissipation... Or maybe it's just not that big of a deal.

There is a formula regarding air temperature and HP.. I don't remember it though.
