This past Saturday is the first time I have ever been to Gateway. My wifes cousin goes there almost every week with his car. We met him in the afternoon at the track and I had no intentions on running my car. He asked me if I was going to run and I told him I have no experience. I told him that he can run it if he wanted. He is one that will not pass up a chance to race any car. So we did the usual sign in and etc. The first run he makes was a 14.02 @ 99,89MPH something, I forgot to tell him to turn off the traction control...oooppppssss.....my bad. The second run he ran a 13.94 @ 100.76MPH. When the eliminations came around, he ran a 14.40, he forgot to turn off the A/C. At this point, we decided to reduce the air pressure from 25lbs to 20lbs because the tires were not hooking up very well. He did a buy in for the last run of 14.13 but red lighted. At least I know what the car will do now. I need to get it on the dyno and get it tuned right instead of a canned tune that I have on it now. My car number was 5745.
