Default driving with the hood open

so i have a question, what kind of risk do i run by driving with the hood popped not lifted or anything just as it would be if you pulled the hood tap....i use to and still do it with my t-bird sc,i kinda fell with the idea that it would keep the engine some what cooler plus you suck in better air. i haven't had any trouble with it on the t-bird but then again i don't pop the hood when i have means to speed.....let me know what you guys think, thanks

Let's see.... pop the hood... that's one safety.... now you got a little hook holding your hood down... ah ****. do it bro... its only your windshield and some other body damage if the itty bitty hook fails... go fro the gusto bro...

[sm=WTFsgign.gif] Why would you do that?? I dont think it will get much more air to run around with the hood popped open. Dont do it.

This an aluminum hood, not some lead sled hood. It is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard of. I think you need some professional help. I don't mean to slam you, but this idea is way out there.
