"My Color Issue"
 

I had ordered a 2005 GT on Nov 15, and everything was going smoothly, when I called the order hotline I was told that there was a compatability issue with my order. I have heard strange things about a law suit concerning the My Color dash lighting, and everything being held up because of this. Anyone out there have any info on this? I have also heard that if you give up the My color dash lighting in order to get your car built you will lose the interior stainless trim on the dash but not on the steering wheel or shifter, sounds crazy to me. My dealer is being very closed mouth about this problem. It's very hard to find anything out.

I work for a dealership and havent heard a single thing about this. I get a user name and password for a "special" FORD website. I havent heard about it. Another good site for info is... www.blueovalnews.com

I ordered mine on 10/30 and called the dealer and they have no update. You mentioned a number to call to get information. Can you provide that number? I just can not believe it takes 8-10 weeks to receive a car. What to they actually do during that time?

i ordered my gt in november with my color, it arrived 10 days ago. it has all of the interior upgrade items.

You can get Interior sport appearence package : leather wrapped steering wheel, with alum. spokes.. Leather wrapped shifter ( man. trans). Satin alum. plated gearshift ( auto)

Interior upgrade package: with 6 gauges, MY COLOR, Satin alum. instrument panel, leather wrapped steering wheel, same trans options as above, satin door handles, satin alum. scuff plates, Dark charc. pattern ( front door panels)

Red interior color accent package: Dark charc. interior enviornment with dark char. carpet. REd sport bucket seats, red front door inserts, red floor mats ( All this, but you have to order with Interior upgrade package)


Then you got rims: 16 cast alum( stand on v-6 delux)
16 bright machined with spinner( stand v6 premuim, opt on v6 delux)
17 cast bullits ( stand. on GT delux or premium)
17 bright machined ( opt. on GT delux and premium).

ANd last but not least... audio.
160 watt single Cd, 500 watt, 6 disk and 1,000 watt 6 disk

I ordered mine in the middle of November and still have no date! The dealer said they probably won't have a date now until after the first of the year since they are on a two assembly line break. How did you get yours so fast?

I know the automotive industry shuts their plants down from 12/23 to 1/3. That may have something to do with the delay. My dealer told me the same thing.
