Default ouch! incident, need advice

i was driving home from a friends and i was saying to myself "u know, this car has a tendency to oversteer at times." well, as fate would have it i way oversteered into a left. the car jumped the center median, and i think it was all tire making contact, but i heard a loud thud. scared the life out of me, i was thinking "no! i killed my baby!" so i jumped out and took a look at it. visually fine, not a scratch, not even on the rims. drove it 3 miles home, drove fine. even the allignment seemed fine. wheni got home i inspected it real carefully and saw absolutely nothing around and under the car. what was the thud? what should i do? what should i look for? thanks guys...

The only "thud" I've experienced was while entering a very steep driveway with a deep gutter, and the skid plate just below the rear valance dragged a bit. That plate seemed to catch the pavement just before the valance (thankfully), but I'm not sure if this is the same thing you experienced. Bump stops on the rear suspension, maybe?

Hope it's all O.K...

Maybe the suspension bottomed out and caused the thud!

you WILL BE FINE,.....
1st off "cars don't over steer", but, "DRIVERS" do,.... if you learn that, you are FAR..... and away ahead.
[sm=signs003.gif]PAY ATTENTION, Don't "blame the car".
Inexperience is the factor here, SLOW DOWN, and live DAMMIT !!!!!
This is a $26K BEAST that can KILL you if you are young, old,..... or JUST don't pay attention!
It AIN'T a "thunk", or a whatever............... It's STUPIDITY,..... and youth!!!!
PLEASE, think about that.............. PLEASE B4 u r dead.

im not gonna lie, i tend to corner hard sometimes. the road was slick and i didnt notice (poor night vision). florida has spot down pours. im just shocked it steered inward hard, normally it breaks outwards and if i tap the brakes it corrects. for now on i'll be a good boy.

the thunk however was not what im saying caused it, im saying it thunked as i wasgoing over the median. im wondering what the thunk was.

Probably, when you go over the median, MOST any car made will "thunk".
Consider yourself lucky, and please pay attention from now on. OK ?
