Whipple Supercharger - use default tune or have custom tuned?
I will be getting a Whipple supercharger for my 08 GT I will be ordering. Do you guys recommend just using the default tune that comes with the supercharger or having it custom tuned after it's installed? I plan to keep most everything else stock on the car except possible suspension upgrades or exterior modifications and also want to stick with 91 octane gas.
Also, is it bad to have a supercharger installed in the first 500 miles of the car? Or would you break the care in more than that before having the supercharger installed?

good choice on the whipple
use the FRPP tune to get the car on the road and
someday if/when convenient, you can get the custom
dyno tune
i think its's fine to install the s/c now, just use good
common sense during the break in period (1000) miles
stop worrying so much and get 'er done

Definitely get it custom tuned. The A/F ratio is then tuned for your specific car. Cars with canned tunes still go lean and detonate. I personally would also get a few more miles on it before doing it. About 1200 miles is what both KB and Whipple recommend before install.

custom dyno tune all the way.....if you are going to invest 5k plus into a s/c spend the extra 300-500 to get the custom dyno tune....my .02 worth
