Default Friggin Fuse Box!!!

Can anyone tell me how to remove the cover from the fuse box on the passenger side? I'm doing this to hard wire my radar detector, so if there is another way please speak up (with details)

..why the hell did they make it so difficult to remove????

Thanks,
P

There are clips on both sides...once you figure it out its not that bad, but the first time is a bitch....

Assume you have removed the passenger kick panel? It's just about impossible without doing that. I swore it only clipped on the back side toward the engine compartment, and then pivoted...But I could be wrong.....

The kick panel has a clip on the kick panel side that you pull out from the wall (same direction as fuse box cover) and then has 2 (i think) clips that run up and down the door. You'll need to pull towards the back of the car to get those off. I believe you have to pull up the sill also because the kick panel is resting under the sill. The sill pulls directly up but feels like you're going to break something as they clipped and taped it down. Just pull, you'll be alright.

I'm still trying to figure out if the 32volt 10amp fuse I have will work. The radar uses a 12volt 10amp.
