I've gotten comments from several different people that said my car looks purple (wtf?). At first I thought they were crazy, but i've heard this from like 5-6 people! Have any of you guys ever been told that ur tungsten grey stangs look purple?

Just to make things clear, THIS IS WHAT PURPLE LOOKS LIKE.

Yep some people say it has like a tint of purple to it. All depends on the lighting.

That's funny because the actual color of Tungsten is a grayish-whitish in color, but Ford's rendition does resemble a purplish hue in certain light(or lack thereof). I have a friend who swears my car is purple and doesn't care whatever Ford calls it. I just really dig it(and every woman I've dated since I bought it always says "what a beautiful color!"). I'm glad Ford stopped putting it on Mustangs after '07, hopefully it stays unique.........

on another note... i've never gotten the purple comment.. now if i had purple interior, it might bring out that hue..... why don't you put purple leather in and see what people say?

I just test drove a tungsten grey stang and when looking at the roof, i remember thinking that it had a pewter look to it in the light. Nice color and my wife loves it. I have had second thoughts about it because I will be purchasing within the month.

If all the women love it then I'm definitely not getting tungsten grey, lol. Leaning towards Bad Boy Black, not sweet and cutezy grey / purple, lol, jk!!!

when i park mine next to my dads red truck it has a tint of purple because of the reflection. it depends ont he lighting but regardless i love the color and have never given it a second thought.
