RE: Removing the Hood Insulation...
funny,,,i just did this an hour ago. i used an old brake spoon for adjusting brakes on your car. i ground it down to about 1/8" thick or maybe a little less with a taper in it with my makita 4" grinder and then filed a notch in the middle of it about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch long and about an 1/8th" wide. then i used a thin piece of hobby plastic about 1" wide and 1/16th thick and and then slid the spoon under the round plastic clip head very gently so i didnt rip the hood liner and placed the 1" wide plastic under the spoon and just pryed back on the spoon and they came out perfect. no rips in the liner or nuttin. the clips were perfect and i reused them. just take you time, its very easy. clips are only about 1/4" long.

That was probably a hell of a lot more fun than using a salad fork...

i took mine off to spray some adhesive glue on my hood blanket and inside the hood to keep it from sagging and rubbing on my plenum cover on the intake manifold. i think others have had this problem of the hood blanket sagging. this spray adhesive was great. srayed it and then reinstalled it. holds it up perfect.
