i would do that in a heart beat.. the entire pont of them is sot hat i can open and close them.. hence.. when i go home.. the parents and neighbors dont know i have exhuast.. or cant hear it..

but then on the road.. i can open it up.. and hear my car the way it should come stock... LOUD

i had a cutout on my trans am and it was way too raw sounding.

the ls1 doesn't really sound good to begin with though, but I like a smooth tone and i don't believe a cutout on any car will get you that.

ya it deffintaley wont give you the smooth, clean type sound..

if you have all the money, you still live at home, and you have a black gt... move out, have some hookers over there, and then get a borla system later on

I saw someone did them on a S197, might have been at TMS or Modularfords, several companies make em, just have to make them work with your ride.

i have mbrp axle back w/ out muffler. they are loud as hell when u open it, but if u idle around they are pretty silent. if u can just coast down the block in 2nd gear til u pull in id recommend those. thats exactly what i do. mbrp makes them w/ mufflers too, but i dunno about those.
