I can't help but notice the trend of black rims making a come back. Not just on Mustangs but on all cars and trucks. Is this just a phase for the young ones or a trend? The only colored rims that ever looked good on a Mustang in my opinion were the black and in some cases the goldBBS rims in the late 80's.The White rims on the Saleen also look sharp.Maybe I'm just getting old but I have yet to see Black rims on a 05+ Mustang that looked sharp. For all I know I could be in the minority on this one and by no means do I want to offend anyone(To each his own)But muscle cars should be rollin on shiney rims.
I have to disagree. I hate rims that stand out. They look so cheesy and just plain stupid. Some look....ok. But I think they take away from the car. Especially a "Muscle" car...

Just my opinion of course.

Then how come your's are shining?I didn't mean they had to be chrome. With pure black the car looks like it's missing hub caps or something.

I am not a huge fan of black rims in general but, I think the black rims look good on our stangs. Black rims match the front grill, headlights, interior, and mirrors (if you dont paint them). On a bright car such as yellow or red black rims really pull everything together.

Also, I am not a huge fan of chrome rims (even though I have them on my car). Chrome plating only makes the rim heavier. I like a brushed aluminum finish the best. I am getting new rims in 5 weeks and went with a forged 3 piece rim with a polished lip and brused finish.

These, I like - there's enough shiny stuff there to make the wheel stand out. I agree, though, the all-black doesn't look right on a muscle car.

I may be partial, but I really like these black rims... enough so that I took off the first set of rims I bought to put these on...

I think like most things, black wheel's popularity will come and go....and come again lol. But wheels are great in the sense that you can change em out when you get tired of a look. For me while I never considered black wheels for a car before...when I seen a black S197 on black wheels, I fell in love. So here are mine...

Yeah, so far I haven't seen a ride in this thread that I think would look better with some chrome rims, not to say that I don't like chrome, but a nice set of black just looks so much more evil!
