337 mi, and 2.5gal of gas left!
Well...
I made a drive this past weekend from San Diego to Walnut Creek and back. According to my GPS, it's roughly 500 mi. each way.
Coming back home from Walnut Creek to San Diego, I got 337 mi. from Walnut Creek to Valencia, where Six Flags Magic Mountain is located. And when I filled up, I found it took just over 13 gal to fill it up!
I thought that was pretty darned good gas mileage, considering I had the A/C on most of the way, and was cruising at about 70-80mph for most of that distance...With the way that I was going, I probably could have made it further, probably into Burbank or North Hollywood area, before I'd had to fill up instead of stopping in Valencia. My low fuel light hadn't even come on yet, so I think I was sitting pretty good...

I thought it was pretty good for my GT, considering the window sticker said I'd only see 23 on the freeway, and I haven't gotten that good of a gas mileage since I bought it (20 mpg was the best I'd seen before the trip).

Really. I get 20-21 around town. I was very pleased at my mileage, and that is with it under 1000 miles. May increase after 2-3000 miles. It must be your driving style.

"Around town" is different for everyone, but my new (only 350 miles on it so far) is getting 18.8mpg in my "around town", and on my first trip (150 miles ea. way) it got 27.2 mpg. I think this is damn good for such a powerful car!

i can drive from my house in SC to my parents house in TN, over 350 miles and the needle is a tad before E. And like you, i thought that's pretty good for a GT. My 95 GT, though i carbed it, i would have to fill up, get in NC, fill up, get to my parents house and be on E, crappy mpg but it was pushing the same rwhp as my 2005 GT.
