well na it was okay we were going less than 20mph because of several accidents, i had no where to go and i saw the guy comin on to me so i got off the brake and as i picked up speed he bumpped me, what a jerk, he cant even see a ****ing yellow car at night, he shouldnt have a license!

I'm not surprised as you are that there were just a few marks; If the SUV that hit you didn't have a license plate on the front it was likely urethane on urenthane. The speed doesn't sound near enough for anything structural.(Been hit 3 times in the rear on my white 2000 Mits Galant)
1) 15-20mph by white BMW (no front lic plate) I was stopped at snowy intersection, impact pushed me right through the intersection. Damage: amzingly not a scratch.
2) 25-30mph while stopped on highway; hit bt Dodge Caravan. Gouged and split rear bumper cover; didn't get to deck lid or tailights. I removed bumper cover, heavy honeycomb inner structure was ok, styrofoam support structure broken in 3 - 4 pieces. Adhesived styro back to a single structure, got new Mits bumper cover on EBay in white :-)
3) 5-10 mph by Sebring, front lic plate left marks and red paint, minor scratches; buffed it out, 98% like orig.

like you said, you weren't on the brake! So he couldn't see that 3rd brake light! I guess we need one like the one on the back on the new Bentley coupe. It goes along the entire top in the back!
Some folks just don't like to slow down on the freeways! Glad it seems to be working out ok.
