which rims for the track?

which rims for the track?
I'm getting some M&H 275/50/17 drag radials and want apair of rims to mount them on. Apair of stock rims will cost $230 shippedfrom brenspeed for the 17x8 bullits. These are 17x9 and will cost $250 shipped from american muscle.

Which would you get? I know the 17x9 aren't going to match my stock rims perfectly, but is there any advantage to using the 9 inch rims? M&H says the stock rims will work fine.
looking for opinions, thanks.

Geez Moose, if you're going to go for a set of track rims and tires then get the MT ET Streets - 28/11.5-17
There is no better hooking DR...period.
To answer - you would be fine on the 8 or 9 - go for whatever is cheaper.

I didn't think they had a 28 inch tall drag radial.

My mistake moose - you are right. It is a 26"

I'd still bet the farm this will hook you better than the M&H

Since I'm getting 4.10's installed soon, i'm more interested in the overall diameter. They do have a 295/45/17 that they list as 27.2 inches in diameter, but they aren't available yet.
