track times!....all that matters is that i had fun right?
Well after what felt like forever i finally got the stang to the track. I went with a friend of mine who has a 2002 Camaro SS, we have both been at the track befor just not with these cars.
anyways to start off the day i hit a 13.8 @ 103 with a 2.3 60ft! to his 13.9 @ 104 with a 2.4 60ft! haha we both kinda laughed it off since it was our first runs and we were sure they would improve with decent 60ft times. And i was a little extra happy since i beat the almighty ls1 with the same mods as me! our 2nd run the tables turned! i had the 13.9 @ 103 with still a 2.3 60ft. but this time he had the 13.8 @ 104 with a 2.3 60ft.... to some up the night i ran 13.8 twice 13.9 twice and 14.2 twice due to spinning the tires and having to let off. The SS on the other hand had one pass of 13.9 i think two 13.8s one 13.6 and 2 13.5s his trap speed was also getting to be 106-107 pretty consistantly also. i never did better then a 2.27 60 but on that run i had to let off since i was spinning real bad and getting sideway a bit. I trapped 103 four times and 104 twice.the temp was94when i took my first pass but once it cooled down to 82 and lower i was able to trap 104. I know my car can obviously do better i just personally couldnt do it... with some lca and some better tires i should below 13's...i dont feel two bad however sincethere was a bone stock 05 gt auto running 14.5 @ 95mph with a 2.1 60ft, a Mach 1 with DRs ORH catback running 13.4 @ 104, a GT500 running 12.2 on DRs with a pulleyswap jlt inatke and tune from evolution perfomance and a 2007 ShelbyGT with a vortech superchargerrunning 13.5 @ 106!!!! i couldnt believe that!

Yeah about the Shelby being slow....I have never driven one but I was at a dealership and I was talking to a guy there who was looking at Foose Stallions. He said they offered him a deal on the one GT500 they had there on the lot, but they didn't want to let him drive it (???) Anyway, he convinced them to let him drive it and he said it didn't feel like it was supercharged at all. He said his wife's Mustang felt faster.

yep it was definitly fun.....i dont think there ever been a time where i went to the strip and didnt have fun. except for when your waiting for your next race, that gets pretty boring
