I think that the white raised letters on a s197 stang would look good if you were looking to enhance the retro look of the new design. I've had them in the past, but it depended on the direction of the look you were looking for. In the eighties there were still a lot of tire companies offering them, but not so much now. Everything comes back into style after a while. I still think it's funny that bell bottom jeans came back a few years ago. I should have saved them, and made some money with a yard sale. LOL. I probably wouldn't have them now though.

Only problem with painting is the letters scuff really bad if you rub them against a curb.

Raised white letters need bigger sidewalls. I had them on most of my cars through the years, in fact still have them on my truck, but I vote a big NO for it on our cars..... It just doesn't look right. Somehow unbalanced.
