Default Shut off at 6000?

I just noticed today that my engine shuts off when i hit 6000 rpms (redline) even with the TCS off. Is that just a factory thing to prevent you from blowing the engine up? Can youshut that offit if you have a tunner?

well you could push the engine further into red line which some people think means more power...but i dont really think so unless you got upgraded cams/heads/intake, all of which are HUGE mods for these motors. ford put the limiter there for a purpose, now if your car is heavily modded, the stock settings were made for a STOCK car just dont blow up you motor

Does the GT have a RPM and speed limiter. If so what is the speed limiter set at?

As posted above we believe the rpm limiter is set at 6250 on an 06 i wouldnt think they would have changed it on the 07. As for the speed limiter Ive hit 150 and nothingshappened, so i dont think there is one
