Actually, I bought those mirrorskins for $29 from V6mustangstuff.com.
I'm unimpressed with the quality, and thats why I'm looking to just paint the actual mirrors. The mirrorskins would look great, but its just flimsy thin plastic that goes over the mirror with double-sided tape... Someone could lightly yank and pull it right off. They just don't seem good.. I do have them ready to be painted though.
As for the midwest auto covers... They just look too aftermarket for me. I think they look awesome, I wish it came from the factory like that because its sporty and almost roadster-ish, but they look to aftermarket-ish to put on the car, for my taste.
Yes, I'll consider just buying spare mirrors and doing the project... Maybe I'll give it a try myself.
