Default Removing subwoofer any problem

I never use the subwoofer part of my sound system and want to remove it. Since the radio has controls for turning it off and on, will the radio have a problem if I remove it? I want some more room in the trunk, and will replace the entire sound system one of these days anyhow...

Nope... no problem... but there is no carpet underneath the sub... looks kind of crappy... you can buy a new trunk cover with the bigger piece of carpet... Ford charges an amazing $120!!! LOL!

You're right about the trunk lining--I saw that while poking around I just ordered a replacement trunk mat from 50resto that is made of that "fender gripper" material with a torch red "GT" logo to match my exterior color.

Thanks for the responses--I'm pulling it prior to the Ford Nationals at Carlisle...

Okay but how easy or difficult is it to remove the trunk sub? Also I do like to keep things original. Once it is remove can it be replaced to the point where it is just as it was installed?

How much do you want for the subs?
Are they compatible with my shaker 500?
