Rear differential advice / opinions needed...should I get em
Okay..my mods all well known...(see sig below) I am seriously going back and forth here...my car is my DD. the dilemma is...do I plunk down the coin and change from my auto with 3.31 to 3.73...is it worth it...I promise you I will never see a track with my car.....so is it just best to leave well enough alone and keep the set up I have....or go the route of the 3.73...I am truly more on the fence on this one than any other mod I have done...thanks for any advisement / opinions you may give...TJ[/align]

Do it...
3.31 gears aren't great for anything...I'm glad I coined for the 3.55's on my 07.. It'll hold me off for a while until I go 4.10's

I wouldn't touch it. There isn't a reason to with the horsepower your delivering. I have the gears because it is in my opinion the poor man's supercharger.

If it never see's the track will it really matter with >400RWHP?
Then againhow many mods are truly needed on a DD that doesnt see competition? The mods I want are mostly because I just want them, it is fun to play with the car but it is plenty fast to just drive around or commute in.

Yep! Poor man right here. Well i'm poor, but my wife has money.
I shelled out $200 for the ford racing diff girdle as well. Hope it actually helps with gear life, but atleast it looks better than stock.

Just for the record my 4.10s are going in next week with a Hurst. But yours being an auto and with the power you have already, I am not so sure it will be a great idea. Maybe you can call VMP or another tuner company or even the mfg. of your blower and ask them what their recommendation for gearing is on an auto along with your other mods. I'm sure their R&D division would have more educated answers. I am sure either way you wont be dissappointed but why spend money on something if it wont end up helping you / why not spend a little to gain a bit more?

yeah, saleen reccommends 3.31 on auto;s but definitely no bigger than 3.55 for street use...to me it does seem like a waste of money for a car that will never see the track....thx for everyones opinions...
