but thats for the life of the tire..
and also.. about it making a hole unlike a nail just puncturing.. ...
when we patch/plug (fix a flat and do a repair) we drill the puncture/hole out.. and end up making a i think a 3/16" hole in it anyways... we are able to fix up to i think 1/4 inch holes.. no slices or anything over a 1/2 inch wide i wanna say.. it may be smaller.. but lookin at that picture.. im sure it would have been fine, or the tire company, unless they are un loyal and tryin to get your money and not your business, would tell you it wouldnt be safe, and we wouldnt be allowed to fix taht type of situation..
just lettin you know.. and you ought to look at getting certs/road hazzard.. i work at discount tire.. and i am telling you its worth it.. any kind of thing that makes the tire no good.. (blow out, nail/hole in side wall, seperation, side wall defects, heat ring, and many more) the tire will be replaced for free!!.. no questions asked.. and can be replaced more then one time for as long as the tires life is.. (michelin - about 60,000 miles.. thats on a suv/truck tire)
just tryin to get teh word out there.. i hear so many stories liek this where ppl are spending moneyf ro no reason .. also we do free flat repiars.. whther its your first time being at discount, or if your a returning customer..

From what I read in the warranty book that came with the car it said that road hazards were not covered.

Thanks for the info. Like I said, NTB said they could fix it but I didn’t think it was safe. I’ve had nail holes repaired in other Z rated tires in the past but I’ve never liked the idea of patched tires on a performance cars.
