How many miles before going to Mobil 1?
How many miles do you put on your new mustang before you do the first oil change and go with Mobil 1? I have about 900 miles and I know I'm switching to 5W20 Mobil 1, but I'm thinking I should wait until 1500-2000 miles or so. What do you think?

I waited until 10,000 miles before I switched. That was more of a personnal preference than anything but I figured it should be broke in by then. I've got about 16,000 on her now.

I changed to Amsoil with my first oil change at about 800 miles. Like ohnoesaz said earlier, many cars (Corvette for example) come filled with Mobil 1 from the factory. Change it!!

Actually, not true. Mobil 1's SuperSyn motor oils, which I believe he is referring to as that is the most widely available, is a full synthetic...
With that being said, he should still switch asap.
