Default track results from first ever run

First this is my first time ever on the track the high today was 90 and humidity was 80+%. Elavation I'm not to sure about but it shouldn't be to bad in Mich at milan dragway.
60ft 1/8 mph 1/4 mph
2.269.3 7914.16102
2.57 9.4 79 14.32 102
2.23 9.4 77 14.33 101
2.13 9.1 79 14.00 102

I'm very disappointed in my times. My mods are cai, tuned by brenspeed, o/r hpipe, exhaust and 295/35/18 street tires. Here are my questions would the heat affect my times to 1/2 a sec as I was expecting mid 13's? Are there any glaring mistakes I'm making from my numbers? What should be my first mods to do to get better times? I'm addicted to speed and modding now?

You havent touched you suspension yet from what I can tell and better tires would help too....this will get your 60 below 2 and you will pick up a great deal wih the suspension upgrades

Gotta get the 60ft times down a bit (suspension will help that) but also you may just need to learn to drag it. If this is your first time, you might just be doing it poorly and not knowing it.

First of all, those 60ft times are attrocious, except for the last one, which is decent on radials, even though they are pretty wide.....they are still regular street tires.

I live on the West Side of the state Downriver. Trust me, today was NOT optimal racing weather. It's way too hot and humid. Seriously, wait until the fall to go back when it's like 55 degrees out. You'll be running low 13's.

Also, make sure you aren't running your rear tires at like 35psi. As hot as it's been, your tires will gain a couple of pounds of air pressure, and will gain a pound or two if you're doing a burnout (which you don't need on street tires..........drive around the water box, do a quick dry hop as you're approaching the line to clean the tires off.). On my 07 with P235/50/ZR18s (stock 18" Bullitts), 26psi seems to be about right. I tried it lower (23psi), but it just felt sloppy.

what kind of suspension work should I do I already have U+L control arms and relocation brackets still in box havent had time to install. What else should I do besides a driver mod(not going to happen). Do I buy dr's, slicks or put the stock rims and tires on to save rotational mass(6lbs heavier per wheel). What 60ft time should I been able to hit. Do I just do suspension work or should I add some more power. Last thing I forgot to put is I'm running a little over 200lbs heavier than stock with my audio/video setup(yes im kinda ghetto what do u want I'm still a kid at heart).

I guarantee those 295 tires are slowing you down some, plus 18 inch rims are heavier than 17's. How much do your rear tires weigh? Your 60ft times show you are either trying to lauch to hard and spinning or you are not giving it full throttle and shifting to early out of 1st.

I'd say just worry about getting your 60' times down and dont go when its so hot. I'd say if the temp was in the 60's or 50's and your 60' time was down in the 2.0x range or better, than I bet you would hit 13.2-13.3 with ease.
