RE: Help with CDC Shaker hood scoop
I don't know how many or how far off but I do know the CDC shaker does NOT cover the factory ones. You'd probably have to have them filled or swap hoods (probably cheaper with newtakeoff.com or something).

RE: Help with CDC Shaker hood scoop
There was a post for DIY's, it was posted earlier this week, I am thinking of getting a shaker scoop, I remember reading in this thread that the CDC shaker does not cover the holes for a stock scoop. Taco Bills thread show where he cut his hoop from scratch. He did not have an existing scoop. Email or call CDC and find out what they recomend. Good Luck!

RE: Help with CDC Shaker hood scoop
CDC sells Foose hoods(with a pre-cut shaker opening) for around $1K(made from aluminum-like the stock hood). Only thing is, it has the "spear" shape down the center of the hood(like a '69-'70 Mustang). Cervini's sell the basic same type of hood(with spear down the center) with the ram air kit system included for $1,250.00(but Cervini's hood is made of fiberglass). Unless you want to trade someone with a Tungsten Grey Mustang without a scoop for your hood and follow Taco Bill's tutorial.....
