A lot of the break-in is not only the motor...

It is the rear, breaks, tranny etc...

You want to drive somewhat normal for a while to let all the parts "wear" together.

break in is up to you. I had about 700 miles on mine then hammered it. put the C&L and tune on about 900 miles. i have done this with all my vehicles and jet-skis. no problems. motor should have been tested before it was placed in the car.

It's a real good idea the run through all rpm rangers during breakin. This mean drive it like a granny, and yes, hammer down.

Take the advice 'drive it normal' with a grain of salt. What is 'normal' for one person may be 'drive it like you stole it' to another LOL.

Taking it up to redline under load ever once in a while won't hurt. Breaking the tires loose in 2nd won't hurt if done properly. Just don't get it hot and don't hammer it all the time and you should be ok. In fact, friving it a little hard from time to time is a good way to figure out what parts need to be replaced under warranty

Good luck with the ner car and keep us informed on how she does!

Steve
