How are you guys cutting the antennae down?? Im having the hardest time. I just keep scratching it up.

I purchased the 8" from American Muscle, but I also shortened my stock one to 14". It's really simple.

Use a Dremel or a die grinder with a cut-off wheel. After you cut it slowly grind the tip down to the original size, if you do it right the ball should be an interferance fit and no glue is needed. If it's too small just glue it on.

The stock antenna will be another part highly in demand 30 years from now when people want to restore their 2005-2007 Mustangs to showroom condition!!!
Put yours in a safe deposit box and order a spare shorty. Besides, what if someone steals that short antenna you made from your original?[]

All new Fords have the same antenna,I doubt the car show judges in 2027 will notice if it's an original antenna, or one off an Explorer.............
