It does break in a little bit, so it might be normal

speaking of locktite, do you guys use it on all the connections or just the shifter stick bottom? The instructions are vague about this (Hurst won't answer their phones until tomorrow.) Thanks,

just the shifter stick two bolts, they will come lose after time until you do this. mine was a little ruff but that is hurst. you know what gears you are gong into. if you put all the bolts in back the way they came out and didnt over tighten then they are fine and did you put the bushings from your old shifter to the hurst shifter. if so then you should be ok,

It is definetely very 'notchy'...

I wasn't sure I liked it at first, because it didn't shift as smoothly as the long throw stocker, but that is the price you pay for a 2" throw I guess!!

After a few weeks, it seems to have loosened up a bit, or maybe I'm gettting used to it?? I love it now.. Very positive, very quick shifts... Plus I love the retro look.. Very racy.. Give it some time..
