Default Hood Scoop Regrets

I was just wondering if anyone who has installed an aftermarket hood sccop has had second thoughts about it. Iask because I owned a truck before my Mustang and I installed the Lund aftermarket hood scoops. I'm sure you;ve seen them before. They're actually 2 rectangular shaped scoops you mount side by side. I had mine done by a body shop and they did a great job, but eventually I started seeing them show up on all kinds of things including mini-vans, beat up Pontiac Sunbirds and a Bonneville station wagon. Anyone wish they would've stay "clean"?

I'm not ruining a perfectly good all aluminum stock hood with a stoopid plastic "scoop".

So from the silence should I assume that everyone is happy with their choice?

I have no regrets about installing my Roush hood scoop. I love it, even though it's non functional....[8D][8D] The only regret I have, is not cutting out my hood stripe under the scoop, as the scoop does move, and is bunching the stripes in the corners of the scoop. This is a known factor, which really is not that big a deal for me, since I eventually intend to paint the stripes on anyway. The vinyl stripes were always meant to be an inexpensive, temporary placement before investing in paint.....

I like my scoop but at 100+ mph the front of it lifts off the car about a quarter inch.
