Default Need help choosing an exhaust

Got some money saved and ready to make the stang sound a little meaner. Im looking to make the car deeper sound like a muscle car should sound. Ive seen maybe the FRPP stingers are good? what about flowmasters? also does our cars come stock with an H pipe? any help appreciated as always.

well i want it to sound deep and be loud at the same time. but not so loud that its annoying or high pitched. also so does that mean that i dont need to purchase an aftermarket H pipe?

an aftermarket H (like Pypes o/r H) delete the cat's. i hear its loud!

i have Pypes a/b, and i really like them, at idle it maybe jsut a little louder, but like the above said about his flows, at WOT its mean. dont know about the flows, but with my pypes, i do have some drone around 2000 rpm, but i dont mind it, depends on your style.

Best suggestion is find a club and hear them in person. I seriously considered the stingers but I think they would have been too loud for me. I'm extremely pleased with my Corsa's and their lack of drone.

+100 on the FRPP Borla GT Stingers!!!! HOWEVER, there are a butt load of exhaust combinations out there and everyone has there own opinion on the sound theylike. One exhaust is no better then the other when it comes to "personal preference" lol.....I say.....take a pole to help you get an idea of the most popular butgolisten to as many different stang exhaust set upsas you can!!!

Best advise; listen to actual cars -- don't make the mistake of deciding on the basis of soundbites.

Look at the GTAs before you make a decision.
