Airbag readiness light

Airbag readiness light
I've been having an intermittent problem with the airbag readiness light staying on lately. It is located in the gauge pod under the tach. It is always at cold start up when it stays on. If I pull over after a mile or so, shut off the car, then restart it, it will go off. Anyone have any ideas?
