RE: Cost of Chaning Auto Transmission Fluid ?
We charge I think 140.00 for a t-flush and we use the BG machine,Which I think is crazy since it is a 15 minute job to do.Its recommended you have it done at 30k.A 30k service at ford (for auto mustang)is a t-flush,fuel filter, oil change, tire rotation and air filter and M.P.I.Its gravy and paysvery good too.

Auto Tranny Fluid Change
Hey everyone, I'm new here and I hope someone can give me some better news than I'm finding. I have a hole in my Tranny Pan and thought I would remove, fix, and replace it but according to what I'm reading I might be SOL. Anyone that has any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had my tranny flush done at 30K as well. They told me its typically done at 45K or even 60K then asked me if I still wanted to do it. Yep, I had them do it.
It was $169.95 with a free oil change to boot.

thanks
whats the problem?? if you have a hole in your tranny oil pan you better fix it one way or the other.
if you can't do it or don't want to find a transmission shop or ford dealer.
plan1: put in a screw (not recomended)
plan2: take it off, weld it or replace it w orig equipment, and while its off replace the oil filter. fill it according to factory manuals/specs.
plan3: look around the internets, there are tranny oil pans available w dipstick, if i HAD to change the pan I would definetely go for that.
might wanna look into different fluid like ams oil.

zombie thread lol..
Skip the dealer, do it yourself. It's not that hard. There's " plenty " of how to threads on how to do it. LAstly, I did mine at roughly 48k, and boy do I wish I changed it at about 20k . it was BLACK and STUNK and boy do I wish I changed it sooner. lol
It may be overkill but I'll be changing mine every 25k and I'm sold on AMSOIL as well. smooth as a got knife in butter. Oh, and go ahead and change your differential fluid while you are at it. That one needs a change as well.
