Automatic shifter anyone?

Has anyone seen a upgraded shifter for the Auto car? I hate the feel of cheesy plastic and ford has it throughout.

No luck.
I'm wondering if one of the early ones would fit the S197.
I contacted B&M but they did'nt respond.
