Yeah. Lets say theoretically you're hooking up a car alarm and part of the alarm's function is monitor if the dome light comes on.
Where is the wire powering the dome light? It must be somewhere lower in the car rather than having to access it way up in the headliner...
Anyone teh know?

RE: Where is the wire for dome lights, down below?
you may have to use the door trigger wire to
monitor the dome light
DOOR TRIGGER
LIGHT GREEN/YELLOW (-)
@ SJB, GRAY 26 Pin Plug, Pin 25, See NOTE *1

RE: Where is the wire for dome lights, down below?
It comes down the passengers side pillar next to the windshield.
Pull the door sill plate then the kick panel and it will be there
going into the SJB. The domes have 12V constant and the
SJB provides the ground to turn them on. The same way with
the door switch. Pulled negative when the door is opened.
Go get a FORD alarm at the stealership and get your SJB
reprogrammed. Much better than some scabbed on aftermarket
non-compatable POS that someone in the future will be cussing
you about when it screws with the ability of getting from point
A to point B. I was thinking about an aftermarket alarm but
when I got to looking at the wiring diagram for the 07 Stang,
not much was compatable electrical wise. Who want to carry
around TWO key fobs. The Ford one and the aftermarket
fob for the aftermarket alarm? OEM alarms are the only way
to go with the newfangled electronics coming out nowdays
OEM.
