Default new rims and tires

hey guys,
i just got my 18" fr500 with pirelli 275/40 in the rear and 235/40s in the front. with a sct tuner can i recal. the spedo? if so how? thanks

You don't have to. Since you have 275/40/18, it comes out to the same overall diameter as stock.

Yes, you can change the number of tire revolutions per mile for that particlaur sized tire. I believe the SCT lets you adjust it in 5 unit increments, so you can get it close to the published amount. I know when I calculated the number of tire revs per mile, my number was about 20 lower (numerically) than what the tire company said. That is due to the contact patch flattening out the curved tire. I used the number from the tire company. After you plug in the SCT, you can change the custom parameters for tire revs (just like you can change for different gears). Just scroll through the options.
