Which tire/size is going to hook better?

I can't find a rim that will fit 315/35/17 Mickeys, looking for a 17x10 wheel, would really like to have the deep dish look out back.

So I'm torn between

17x9 wheels with 275/40/17 Mickeys in the rear

vs

18x10.5 wheels with 305/35/18 Nitto DRs in the rear

Which combo will get more tracion? I know the MTs are better rubber but the Nittos would be wider and last longer.

check out BFG KDWs. not sure about the rims, but the bfg's are great tires

How would those compare to the Mickeys in the sizes mentioned?

I am thinking about getting the Crager SS wheels 17 x 9 is the widest they sell.and look much like the stock wheels.Tire racks page states that you can put 255/40 ZR17 BF Goodrich KDW2on these wheels.
