sirius bought out xm a few months ago and pretty soon there's gonna be a merge and everything will be sirius. There really is no point in investing in xm stuff anymore.

No one bought anyone out....the companies are awaiting merger approval. Both XM and Sirius receivers will continue to work regardless.

Correct and there are various reports on what is going to happen...i have heard that they will merge and you will get stations from both XM and sirius but not all of them....Not quite sure how it will all work out yet.

I have a Pioneer stereo that is hooked up to XM through a datalinked convertor box behind the radio. Works great, crystal clear...
