black convertible gt for 25,000 fully loaded!
Maybe with 50K miles on it.
No offense bro, but 22K is too much for even the most macked out v6 coupe, evenif it does havefancy rims on it.

*Edit- I just noticed your sig. With that carbon fiber bra, your car is probably easily worth 35-40K.

hey bro, i kno what i was offered, and retail on my car with the parts it came, it was at $29500 so dont insult me by telling me what i saw was fake, and that gt was price at that amount from $34,000 and it only had about 10 show room miles, mine had 1 mile or less.

so dont insult me unless you were there and can prove me otherwise......no need to be sarcastic!

Ok, you've convinced me. You saw a brand new fully loaded GT convertible with 10 miles on it for 25K, your V6 coupe stickered for almost 30K, and you went with the sixer. BTW, where can I get one of those carbon fiber bras?

colgan makes it, and i went with the v6 because it was the only yellow one i had seen in the my search thru four dealers and black wasnt my color and my parents didnt want me to get the black painted to another color yet now they tell me i could've so ughhh i dunno, i should've though, i guess the rims on these and the look just gave me awhile.....i wasnt really going for power when i first wanted a Mustang, I'm lucky i got a Mustang and not some suv or sedan

like you i was going to buy a used gt. aug-sept of last year i was looking at 05's in the $23k-25k range with low miles.

then ford came out with the 0% apr for 72 mo's in september. at that point it made no sense for me to buy used. i got my car for 25600 or so out the door. and i got the 5 yr-60k miles powertrain warranty that 05's don't have.

if you can wait and you are willing to risk the fact that your exact car may not be in stock, then i'd wait for the model year close out.

depending on how much money you are putting down, you could end up with a lower payment, even with a higher purchase price, on a new car vs. used when special apr's and incentives are taken into account.

good luck!

im going to buy a 2005 mustang gt premium torch red with 5k miles......its a 5speed-leather-17inch rims-flowmaster axlebacks......the guy originally wanted 25k but then he went down to 23,500 when i told him it was too much.....Book value appears to be about 22k for my area with those low miles....its in perfect condition.....2005 and 2006 are soo close to each other in price, do you think i should go for a 2006 or just save 2-3k and get a 2005? They are identical cars correct? Did the 2005 have any problems or recalls that i should check for?.....im offering him 22k, i think thats a fair price since its book value? Do you think i should get him down to 21,500 or is the 22k a good deal?

If you can, wait until the new '08s come out. You'll get a great buy on an 07 when the dealers need to unload them. That's the way I bought my '06. I won't tell you what I paid; it'll bring tears to your eyes!

What you might be getting into with the 05 Mustang . . .

These are the problems that I've had with mine:
[ol][*]Failing fuel pump[*]Dead A/C Compressor[*]Front End Thunk (now called "chuckle")[*]Shaker 500 CD system gone bad[*]Can't pump fuel into tank at about 50% of gas stations out there[/ol]Every time I see my brother-in-law, he just smirks and says, "Quality is Job One, eh??" Thankfully I don't have the water leak so many others report.

hey that sucks only had 1 and 5 happen to me, and they worth both fixed 1 by ford and 5 by myself -- i replaced the gas cap to a cheap autozone lockin one and it stopped making the gas pumper click off. so that worked .............also i had the ebrake freezing problem but thats fixed ;-)
