Default How much can you negotiate a 2007 for?

The MSRP is $30,430 on the GT Mustang that pretty much has the goodies that I want.
With all the rebate incentives you think I can get a sales person to bite at $25,000?
Right now I think their is roughly $1500 in rebates, and I leased a ford prior so their might be another 750 for lease loyalty stuff.

I am guessing with the 2008 looming shortly in the horizon that the 07's price should start to fall. I am betting that the rebate's are going to go up dramatically in mid July. I just want to get the pick of the litter.

So many things depend on the price, It's hard to state one, Like how big the dealership is, How many cars they sell in a year depends on how many cars they get next year and what the dealer price will be, Then the dealers get a year end rebate for each car sold and there are during the year public rebates and dealer discounts and what options are you looking at.
In about 1 1/2 weeks the 2008s will be at the dealerships. and then Fordhas their bank notes come dew for the vehicles that are on the lots, so if a dealerhas a 25,000$ car sitting there and that car is now going to cost him $100. a day to sit on his lot, he has real incentive to get rid of it, even at a loss. Some dealers buy their cars outright from ford and have no problem with having a vehicle sit there after the bank note is dew, some dealers barrow, (so to speak) from Ford. There is no exact price that a new Mustang cost.

Invoice is about 0.93 x MSRP. So figure that minus any rebates as your target price.

Don't deal with a salesman. Go directly to the Fleet Dept, where they will give you a price that is just above cost. I bought mine for $150 over dealer invoice, which Fleet shows you. You can still get the rebates and/or special financing.

or you have connections at a Ford dealer and have the VINCENT in hand for the mustang your looking for. with $500 in rebates at the time I knocked $3.4 off mine.

Fleet department? Never heard of it. Don't you have to be a big buyer of many cars to get a fleet rate?

I am just wondering that the car I am looking has an MSRP of $30,450 if I can get it for around 25k plus tax and title (of course). Right now I think their is $1500 in rebates until July 2nd. I think I can get a $750 for leasing a ford previously. So I am looking at roughly $2250 off MSRP without any negotiating.

Now I am guessing that Ford is going to up the rebates substantially on 07's to help dealers clear their lots. I don't know if the dealers are told ahead of time and if so how far ahead do they know what is coming down the pipe.

I want to get the package and color that I want, but I also want to get a really really good deal on it. Hence the reason for a 07 rather than an 08.

Probably not too much. A GT is considered a luxury and as such, there is less lee way.

When I bought my 07 GT back in December, there was a $1000 incentive. My sticker was $29,625 and I used an A-plan pin to get my car at 4% below dealer invoice. Basically the PIN brought the car's price down $3000, plus the $1000 incentive so I got my car at $25,600 + tax and financing. I highly doubt that you can get $5000 under sticker even with $1500 in incentives. The dealership will have to lose money selling it to you unless you have access to an X-plan PIN, and even then they can only sell it to you at invoice.
