i have a weird sound comin from under the hood at 1500 rpm,
sounds like a sound that a cricket makes only at 1500 rpm.

can you explain this more detailed. ive experienced a whistle in my car once, like a supercharger but i havent heard it since though

its hard to explain the sound but its not the whistling sound you are talking about,
it like squeaking sound.

Does it make a chirp sound or is it a high screeching noise that lasts for several seconds? Mine started tomake this horrendous screahing noise one night as i was backing her into the garage. My family had just gotten out of the car in the driveway, and as I backed up the car started to make this awfully loud screeching sound. At first I thought it was some song on the audio. Then I thought it was something gone horribly wrong. MY family said it was me backing up over the newly delivered newspaper (that was wrapped in the plastic cover), being dragged up the driveway. I didn't think so. I stopped put the car in park. Got out and made an inspection. Found nothing. Put the car in drive. Went forward for about 10 feet. Then proceeded to back up without any noise. That was about a month ago and I have not had any emergence of this sound since. Maybe it was the paper.

yes it is a screeching noise but only at 1500 rpm just starting hearing about a 4 days ago and one other thing it only does it after the car gets hot.
