PICS UPDATE OF TINT AND QUESTION ABOUT FELT
 

so since i got a day off tommroow im looking to go get my windows tinted...

i live in nj so front windows are illlegal but im still doing it...i need ur opinion of what to do

i was thinking like 15 for back three windows

and like 20 or 35 up front..what do u guys think

Well if it's illegal go for whatever,but I believe 35 up front would be plenty(With 15 in back + Black stang)I have 35 all around.And at certain angles it looks like 20.Already been pulled over,but no ticket since 35 islegal here!

Dude get the moleskins!! if you get them installed dont roll down your windows until you install moleskins i had mine installed 3 weeks ago yesterday was the first day i rolled down my window because i just installed moleskins. If you dont your tint will scratch for sure.

Personally i have the 35% and thats plenty dark for me but i dont like it that dark anyway. But id go the same all around if i were you i think it looks a bit outta place when you have different tint on the back than the front JMO tho i think 20 all the way around would be perfect if you want to go dark

Here's my take on tints, I got mine mostly for asthetics and a little bit for privacy.

Rear- Go light, 35% looks great. Because of the angle of the window it will look solid most of the time. Even though most states allow you to completely black it out think about how much you use your review mirror.

Fronts and quarter pannels: Get them done the same percent, it looks weird otherwise

Percent wise, I have 5% (limo tints) I love the look during the day but at night I can't see ****. I only drive the stang in nice weather so my windows are rolled down most the time regardless I would have done 15%.

5%-hardcore, can't see in at all, looks f'n sharp, severe visibility issuses at night
15%- about as extreme as most people should go, looks good, hard to see in but not perfect, moderate visibility issuses at night
25%- looks alright, ideal for the 25+ crowd
35%- too light for asthetics or privacy, still good for blocking sun radiation

edit: I got my windows tinted in January, no scratches without moleskin, only 1,800 miles on the clock though

I got 20% the whole way around. I was thinking of doing 20% for the back 3 and 30% up front, but when I saw 30 I thought it looked way too light. 20% is perfect, people are still able to see in a little during the day, and they're black at night. I mainly got tint for security but it does look awesome too!

I had 50% all around but kept getting pulled over in New jersey. It was dark enough for me, but since then i have taken the sides off and left the back and small windows 50%. Looks fine like that not all gay when people black out the back but then the front is clear. Also consider if you get 20% itll look darker since you have black seats and a black dash.

If it's illegal in the fronts, do 35%. On a black stang (especially with black interior if you have it) it looks good enough to add the meanness but isn't so dark the cops care. They'll definitely start pulling you over if you do 20% or more.

I have 35% all teh way around it looks good. It's not going to look blackout effect but it does give the car the look I was going for.

i decided to get 35 percent in front and 15 percent in back...also i just purchased the mole skin off ebay for like 26 dollars so that should arrive by monday...and the tint install is tommroow at 11 so please if anyone has this setup or close to this setup please post pics..thanks
