Have an early 05 gt convertible with the shaker 1000 system and my problem is that the amps in the trunk do not shut off when I shut the car off. Every few minutes I hear a thud from the trunk, or if I unlock the door with the remote same thing. I can not let the car sit for more than 12 hrs without the battery going dead and it seems the lower the battery gets the more frequent the thud noise is. I still have about 1500 miles until the warranty runs out. My dealer first tried replacing the radio, no difference. So the put the old unit back in Then one of the amps and the subwoofer itself and still no improvement. Anyone gone through this? Any feedback I could give to the dealer (I used to work there so they will listen to me) would really help

take it to another stealership. demand you want it fixed, even if the entire sound system needs to be replaced.

Exactly why I chose the base model stereo. Aftermarket is the way to GO!
