FYI "hot gas"
If it's not the ethanol that will get you... it's the temp too....

RE: FYI "hot gas"
I saw something about this on the local news here a couple weeks back. Not much we can do but complain to our non-effective government about changing some outdated standards as I understood it at the time I saw the story.

Maybe I don't understand the artical. But all of tha gas stations I visit have the storagetanks under ground. Actually I worked a a gas station in high school (14 years ago) and even then they had a temp probe in the tank. I don't remeber it getting very hot at all?? Don't get me wrong, I think the oil companies are a bunch of crooks! Again maybe I am missing something?

RE: FYI "hot gas"
Thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard. Like luv2cheat said the tanks are UNDERGROUND, if you dig anything past a certain the temp stays constant. I cant remember how deep you have to go, but at a certain point the temperature stays at a constant 50 some odd degrees. Also, if the fuel was relly that "hot" it'd burn your hand as you pump. Or at the very least youd feel the handle get a lot warmer.

RE: FYI "hot gas"
Ever seen those delivery trucks for fuel with the hoses?
I DONT buy gas from the station that is being refilled
or has been refilled recently. I would guess that the gas
in the truck is warmer than the gas underground. My thinking
is that all the trash and water are stirred up when the
underground tanks are being refilled. Who wants that
soupy mess in their Stangs gas tank?
