Don't know about better, but wayyyyyy cheaper. Most decent intakes are cheap, it's the tuner and tune that you have to shell out the bucks for.

Yes, I have an Auto with SCT tunes, the shift can be as firm as you wanted, I have it shifting at 6700 RPM and medi shift firmsnese..
