Default Squeaky Poly bushings, revisited!

What brand devices ( LCAs, UCA, Pannard etc) using poly bushings do you have. Did they squeak and/or howdid you solved the problem.

I bought my 05 GT with a Steeda suspension upgrade from the previous owner. Front/rear sway, adj panhard bar, lca. For 3 months I lived with bad squeaking in the suspension. After reading lots of posts on here, I removed both sways and regreased all the bushings. Many of the bushings had NO signs of ever being greased (argh!). After regreasing, all my squeaks are gone.

I did springs, LCAs, and panhard and somthing back there squeaks. I purchased some synthetic grease and I plan on trying that somtime soon. Ill let you know how that works out.

Even with grease I get a little noise out of my Steeda control arms (adjustable upper, fixed lowers). The poly bushings in my Marauder's upper and lower control arms and front and rear sway bars get squeaky too and need lube once or twice a year. It seems that some extra noise is just something you've got to live with if you want performance parts. At least, that's been my experience so far.

After about 6 mos. I had rear squeaking also. Panhard bar had zerk fittings, so gave it a couple pumps (don't overgrease). Upper & lower control arms and frt. & rr. sway bar bushings had been greased when new, and seem to be holding up o.k. It seems when you lower and stiffen a chassis, it's tighter, and will be noisier. (sacrifice for high performance)

Grease is not a good solution because it doesn’t stay put on the bushings. Try NAPA Auto Parts silver anti-seize. It is super slippery and clings well to the bushings. Beware! It is very hard to clean it off of parts or your hands so be careful.

Anti-seize heh, did you clean out all of the grease first? I have been thinking of trying graphite, but haven't been able to determine if it will be too abrasive on the bushings. I'm disassembling and regreasing the outer flanges of the bushings every few months to stop the squeaking.

Graphite is not that abrasive and should work well until
it dissipates over time. I am removing the stock rubber
bushings on my sway bars and going to PolyBushings.
I might think about modifying the OEM brackets to accept
grease zerks. Gotta be thinkin ahead....[:-]

When I installed my suspension parts I used a real thick silicone grease thats made for poly bushings. This stuff is very thick and does not come off very easily. I have gone about 5000 miles on the new suspension and have not yet heard any type of squeaking.
