OffRoad Xpipe w. SLP Loudmouths, Dear God

RE: OffRoad Xpipe w. SLP Loudmouths, Dear God
The only thing about the stockers is that they are Disgusting! The way the muffler is seen in the back hanging and nasty cheap stainless steel pipe. Thats the reason why i love the SLPs since its just a pipe and no muffler. I suggest you take a hit sell the SLPs and buy pypes new mid muffler system. It'll be like buyingit half price with the money you get from selling the LM's and they have a muffler as opposed to the Slps so they should tone it done while helping the sound.

Ordered my O/R Xpipe from Summit, came quick.
Install was straight forward, fitment was just ok. One pipe didn't quite fit into the other and needed to be banged up a little bit.
The car is RIDICULOUSLY loud now though and it sounds less than good. I'm afraid to open the car up because the exhaust puts my ears in pain at anything above 2500rpm. Above 2200rpm the car trumpets like no other, and there is drone all over the place, enough to make the cabin rattle. The exhaust sounds raw but in a metallic clanky way.
I can barely keep up with traffic without drawing attention to myself. To keep the car from going into wake the friggen dead mode I was shifting right when it began to trumpet, below 2000rpm at partial throttle. People were accelerating around me, I'm pretty sure they thought my car was broken... embarrassing.
I'm thinking that something placed before the axle should be able to help me out. What’s the difference between resonators and glasspacks? Which is going to be more helpful to smooth out the exhaust tone? I don't mind having a loud exhaust, but I'd like it to sound deep and smooth. Like my car did with just the Loudmouths, but louder.

Bah I'm going to figure this out to keep the O/R pipe somehow. Thinking Pypes midmuffler setup when it comes out.
JewStang, yeah thats how my car sounds staitionary to. I love the exhaust just reving it, but when I actually drive the car the hardcore trumpeting is nuts.
I would describe the sound as fabric ripping.
The fabric of the ****ing universe being ripped.

I was too overwhelmed in the begining however, with time I have become accustomed to driving the car in such a manner that its not soo crazy any more. It kinda came natural too, so as long as you can hold out for a couple weeks youll be fine. Your ears will be fine once this adjustment/adaptation takes place so dont worry. Let me know if you've got any more ?'s
