Mufflers - Research Stage
So we are in the research stage for some mufflers... we love the way the car sounds but we just want "a little more"... we'd love a little more grumble (no scary tin can noises!!!)... and do not want "for the love of God" mufflers that someone posted about that are way too loud.... we do not want mufflers that are going to cause other problems with the car.... and we're not going to replace the whole exhaust.
Have any advice?
Thank you so much, in advance,

RE: Mufflers - Research Stage
I finally decided to the following. I picked up a set of the premium OEM GT mufflers with a set of the nice chrome tips(ebay) with 5 miles on them. I will then run either a X or H pipe for my added volume / added power. I think the stock system sounds nice in car and I do about 250 miles a week worth of highway so drone was a no way kinda thing for me. Also the bulk of the power gain is in the X / H anyway the mufflers are purely to be heard.....not a bad thing. I'm told the X / H will give my car more volume but the same tone and that I can be ok with.
Good luck

do a search of the forum on "exhaust" or "mufflers" or "axleback" and you will find 100 threads that ask exactly the same thing. And everyone always chimes in and says that "their" exhaust is the best. Only you can know what you like. MAC, Flowmaster, Borla/FRPP, Corsa, SLP, Magnaflow, Pypes.....there are zillions of options and they all sound good to somebody. Find some cars to listen to in your area and make an educated decision.

my brother and i were talking about going to a few car shows around here to see what is what... if we like the way they sound, we'll ask the owners what they have...
