Default Valve Covers for 07's

Has anyone gotten a set of aftermarket valve covers for their 07? Reason i ask is because i'm afraid to order a set of chrome ones because the number of bolts was reduced to 10 on the drivers side and 9 on the passenger side unless i missed one somewhere on the passenger's but i double checked then rechecked unless its hidden. So just to be safe i dont want to order a set of the Ford Racing ones only to have the bolt pattern be off. These were the ones i was going to purchase http://www.americanmuscle.com/frp-3v...rs-chrome.html

Thanks

Those won't fit! It even says 2005-2006 only.

That is interesting. I just purchased a 2007 GT and the covers look like ten year old dingy bare aluminum. What was the change on 2007 heads that required a different cam/valve cover?

I know it says 05-06 that is why i was asking if anyone has ordered any to see if there were any updated ones for the 07's. I was just referring to those as to what i was looking at for anyone that wasn't sure what i meant. And to answer honus402, i believe they did it to cut back costs somehow, but thats just what i read in a previous post so i'm not sure if thats the real reason why.

Hey, at least we can see our valve covers. I hate when manufacturers cover all themechanicals up w/ the plastic covers.

What was changed was the cost for Ford had to spend. They reduced approximately 10 fasteners plus the tooling costs for the valve covers & heads. When you multiply that by the number of GT's sold per year, that is a big savings in their pocket. I just changed mine on my 06 because they looked like crap from day one. I ordered the Steeda covers which were the 07 style. The 07's will fit on the 05-06's. Unfortunately it does not work the other way around. 05-06 covers will not work on the 2007’s.This was probably some of the best money I spent on the car at least when it comes to appearance. Very easy install...

Did they come painted in the blue or did you have that done/did it yourself? Look nice.
