Hmm...I used "high temperature" Permatex thread locker on mine, and my shifter came loose today (installed two days ago). I also used the stuff underneath the car.

I'm going to use the blue loc-tite on my shifter handle...but should I worry about where I used it underneath?

If ya don't have loctite, put a little silicone sealer on the threads, it's poor man's loctite, and it will hold.
